Primevest's Commitment to Responsible Investing
Primevest understands the management of environmental, social and governance (ESG) matters is a critical part of ensuring the long-term success of any business. Building better businesses through responsible ownership and management benefits all stakeholders, from employees and shareholders to customers and suppliers, and the wider communities and environment in which our businesses operate.
Our Approach
The following video provides an overview of our commitment to ESG throughout the investment cycle, how we partner with companies to establish long-term sustainable practices, creating value not only for our funds, but also for the company beyond our ownersh
Global Role
Primevest recognises its role in the wider world and to the communities in which it operates. Primevest's private equity activities contribute in a number of areas including:
- * Employment: more than 400,000 people are employed by Plinthmark portfolio companies
- * Economic Growth: in 2019, Plinthmark portfolio companies invested over €5bn in capital expenditure.
A timely example of this is how we, and our portfolio companies, responded to the unprecedented impacts the COVID-19 global pandemic has had on the countries and communities in which we operate.
Responsible Investment Policy
Primevest has in place a comprehensive Responsible Investing Policy which sets out our guiding principles and both our commitments to invest and operate responsibly.
Primevest works with portfolio companies to enhance their engagement and best practice on a diverse range of ESG topics.
Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI)
Primevest has been a signatory of the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) since 2012 and reports annually on its progress in integrating ESG in its investment processes against the six principles. Primevest also takes into account the ten principles of the UN Global Compact in its due diligence of target companies before Primevest funds invest.
